2001 – Gute Bilanz nach einem Jahr: 1800 Fahrgäste transportiert und 33 000 km gefahren

Optimierung des Fahrplans bringt dem BürgerBus doppelt so viele Fahrgäste. „Der BürgerBus scheint bei den Laaspher Bürgern gut angekommen zu sein“, betonte der 1. Vorsitzende des BürgerBus-Vereins, Achim Walder, gestern Vormittag im Rückblick auf ein Jahr BürgerBus in Bad Laasphe. Insgesamt beförderte der Bus innerhalb des vergangenen Jahres 1800 Fahrgäste und legte dabei eine Strecke von 33 000 Kilometern zurück. Im letzten Monat wurde der Fahrplan weiter optimiert: Unter anderem wurden die von der Bevölkerung wenig genutzten Routen aus dem Fahrplan gestrichen. Außerdem wurde ein Stundentakt eingeführt, als Ergänzung zum Angebot der Linienbusse. „Nach dieser Verbesserung hat sich die Anzahl der Fahrgäste im Monat fast verdoppelt“, so Walder. Die Kritik eines Taxiunternehmers, der BürgerBus würde ihnen die Kunden wegnehmen, wieß Walder entschieden zurück: „Ein Großteil der Fährgäste, die wir transportieren sind früher mit dem Nachbarn oder Freunden gefahren.“ Besonderer Dank für die gute Zusammenarbeit sprach Achim Walder den Verkehrsbetrieben Westfalen-Süd (VWS) aus. Auch der gute Kontakt zwischen Fahrgästen und den ehrenamtlichen Fahrern wurde besonders hervorgehoben: „Mit der Zeit sei dieses Verhältnis sehr persönlich geworden“, bekräftigten die 13 aktiven Fahrer. Für die Zukunft wäre es für das Projekt BürgerBus wünschenswert, wenn sich noch mehr ehrenamtliche Fahrer zur Verfügung stellen würden“, meinte Walder.
